Ingredients

  • 1 part Beer (Mexican-Style lager or pilsner)
  • 1 part Tomato Juice
  • 1 dash Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 dash Lime Juice
  • Salt (for rimming)
  • ​Garnish with a Lime Wedge

Directions

  1. Add the beer, tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, and lime juice to a pint glass filled with ice.
  2. Stir together until thoroughly mixed.
  3. Salt the rim of a separate pint glass and add ice if desired.
  4. ​Strain the beer and tomato juice mixture into the salt-rimmed pint glass.

Variations & Notes (if any): Like the Blood Mary, part of the beauty of a michelada is how customizable it is. Want to add jalepeno? Go for it! Want to swap in teriyaki sauce or soy sauce? No problem. You can even experiment with different liqueurs or skip the tomato juice entirely. It’s all up to you.
