Ingredients

  • 1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 12 oz Chilled Ale
  • 1 pinch of Ground Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • ​1 oz Brandy

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, heat the lemon juice with 2 oz of the ale, ginger, and sugar over moderate heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Beat the egg yolk into the brandy in a small bowl.
  3. Add the heated mixture to the egg yolk mixture, and beat until smooth.
  4. Pour into a beer mug, and slowly add the rest of the ale, stirring well.
